HS THEATRE

In High School (HS) theatre they learn the fundamentals of acting, theater history and literature, dramatic structure and various techniques, public speaking skills and teamwork, and do exercises to improve concentration and memorization. The predominant acting method taught is The Meisner Technique, though we do explore other methods of the craft, most stemming from the teachings of Konstantin Stanislavsky, and also practice Improvisation. Over the course, through performance in a variety of mediums and forums, students find themselves growing artistically, personally and intellectually.
